The three-alarm blaze broke out shortly before 5 a.m. in New Rochelle on Monday, Aug. 16 on North Avenue and The Boulevard, prompting an evacuation as crews went to work battling the blaze.
Crews were able to quickly knock down the fire, which is believed to have originated in a third-floor residence before spreading.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
No injuries were reported. Officials said that some residents should be able to return to their homes later on Monday.
